Just start

This is my website for all my art. I want to use this space for my writing, visual art, and silly doodles. I have been studying drawing more seriously for about a year and a half. I have drawn off and on during the years, but I was utterly convinced that drawing required talent and that I did not have said talent. My biggest regret is not realizing sooner, or not believing sooner, that anyone can learn to draw.

To cope, I said, “ok, well, if I can’t be an artist, i’ll be a writer.” I see now how flawed that way of thinking was. I love writing, but it always felt like there was a void in my creativity, an avenue I had not gone down deep enough. So when I would produce a competent sketch from reference - and the resulting sketch would actually not be too bad. BUT I had seriously convinced myself and I cannot express how strong our own core beliefs can be that they shape our perception of the world and ourselves.

Anyway, I’m trying to keep this blog and website simple so that I don’t give up on it. My writing has atrophied a bit, so this blog will also be great to reignite my writing and get good.
